Successful Showcase: CUBE brand communications presents Automated Valet Parking at IAA Mobility 2021

6 days, 10 project partners, dozens of demonstrations, thousands of visitors*: We at CUBE brand communications had the privilege of presenting the Automated Valet Parking (AVP) project at the IAA MOBILITY 2021 - and the trade fair days were a success through and through. As a brand communications agency, we were responsible for organizing the trade fair and implementing a holistic communications concept.

Over 400,000 people visited the trade fair center in Munich during the six days in mid-September to find out about the latest trends in the automotive sector. Visitors were able to see the AVP Showcase - a driverless parking function for intelligently equipped parking garages - in the Messe West parking garage. Demonstrations and presentations of the AVP took place there every day of the fair.

Our experience as a marketing agency in the technology sector was helpful in bringing together and presenting the diverse interests of the various project partners. This is because the AVP involves cooperation between automobile manufacturers (BMW, CARIAD for Audi, Porsche and VW, Ford, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz) and technology and infrastructure providers (Bosch, Continental, Valeo, Kopernikus Automotive, Unikie). With the AVP as a pioneering joint project, the project partners want to create a technological basis so that in the future vehicles from different manufacturers can communicate with appropriately intelligently equipped infrastructures in parking garages. Vehicles will thus be moved in an automated and driverless manner. Among other things, this will also allow parking space utilization to be optimized.

"With the AVP Showcase at the IAA MOBILITY, we and our partners were able to present a forward-looking technology to thousands of visitors every day, thus also demonstrating our expertise in marketing and communications and our experience in the automotive and technology sectors," explains CUBE brand communications Managing Director Frank Fichtner.
